Is there is a way of downloading this as a zip file? I can't convert a 7z file that has 315 MB.

There's multiple mirrors. Pretty sure at least one is a .zip file

Just because you can't preview it doesn't mean you can't download it. It's just because it's a relatively large file. The first one is fine

And I thought the preview was the actual file trying to load. Why do I even bother...

Also, the second mirror actually doesn't work, and the first one downloads it as a 7z file instead of a zip file.

.7z files aren't hard - you literally download the 7-zip installer, run it, and then you can right-click and choose 7-zip -> extract files.
I would prefer having a .zip when SMBX2 is finished, but it's not like 7z files are impossible to open.

You should get WinRAR or 7-Zip. If you have winZIP, then it is shit if you need to extract anything that isn't .zip

It's still just Beta 3. It's been there forever. It's just an alternate download on a different site
