I just learned something new. If you delete a user from the forum, it also deletes the PM they sent to you. I'd have thought the username would show up with a non-clickable link.

Has anyone else found that searching the Registered Users group causes an error if you try to search it through someone's profile? None of the other groups do it though

If anything were to ever happen legally between this site and Nintendo, chances are Nintendo would win (not that I wouldn't put up a fight, but I wouldn't have a lawyer and wouldn't want to pay any legal fees etc.). I'd weigh my options after that and if simply putting the site at a new address is feasible then that would be what I'd do. The likelihood of this happening is, as demonstrated by the life of other Mario fansites, incredibly low.

But it does relate to a certain non-approved Mario fangame.

This forum is much more likely to get taken down by Nintendo than any other Mario fansite, as it's a SMBX forum.

If we were using it to make profits from copyrighted material then yes, it would almost certainly be shut down. Now, we are simply like SMWCentral and RvLution, a forum dedicated to a specific fan-game/engine/editor.

Actually on that note, SMWCentral is a good example in a way. They deal with ROMs and messing around with an actual Nintendo game. While they aren't making profits from this, as most people know, using and sharing ROMs is an act of piracy, despite the fact we use them to make different games. Even though both our community and SMWCentral are not-for-profit, due to their use of ROMs, they would have more chance of being shut down than us, from a legal view, as would any other site that is involved with ROMs. These sites have not been affected as of yet, so there is no need for worry here. For Nintendo, SMBX isn't the real problem, it was the fact that it was being used by a third party to generate profits. In a nutshell, we don't use SMBX to make moneys, we don't get shut down.

Idk, it just doesn't make sense to me. Saying "stop" because I was wrong about something. It's not like I'm doing anything bad.
