Since I haven't posted anything here that could already be used. I decided to post a few of my "Retired" Characters that I don't have a use for anymore and who will not be remastered.
You're free to do with them what you want.
And with that said, here there're:
P.S. I was too lazy to turn them into NPCs, so that's why I post them here.

They mostly look lazy recolors of existing sprites.... But I can see why you
NEVER found a use for these characters. But anyways, whatcha think of the custom
SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis castle background so far?
What should I add next?

Joseph and Princess are exastly that

. Priest Woman was supposed to be a Evil Prison Warden, though she didn't looked liked either, even though her Ugly Head is made from Scratch

. Police Chief actually doesn't look that Bad, though in comparsion to Raymond Kane, he looks like a Bad Joke.
Anyway, I think you could add some signs of age to your Background, because I don't think that it was just built fresh when the Player enters it.

These tiles looks like something suited for a tree level imo

If I can make a suggestion, it's to keep the light and shadow consistent. Right now the way it is present on the blocks is different depending on whether they are vertical or horizontal, probably because they rotated with the blocks when they actually should'nt.

So I decided to make a different version of my custom
SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis castle BG, but with
green rectangular bricks
* instead of
green cube bricks, which was suggested by PROX:
Now comes the brainstorming of what else to add to this castle BG! ^^"
*I know, the bricks were rotated in 90 degrees.

Im recreating fire punch's dorrie sprites to make it look like how she appears in mario odyssey and nsmb. I've always prefer this design over the n64 one cuz it looked derpy and out of place lol. This is going to be finished pretty soon but I won't release it because i'm making other dinosaurs and custom npc's too. Hell once I get better at luna lua coding they might become there own separate npc's some day lol.

blessed image

happy dorrie (extra blessed)
b4 and after.
Fire punch version left, Mine's right. credit to him for the original sprite sheet.

Thanks everyone. That background sorta reminds me of labyrinth zone from sonic 1 for some reason. It looks pretty good though.

I was aiming for a greenish Marble Zone feel for this background, but sure. Thank you though.

a WIP gargantuan rex. Im still working on animation frames, removing 1x1 pixels,Shading,Coloring and the creating the legs so far. This is the first, fully original custom npc im working on. This guy is an absolute unit.
Edit: The dude finally has legs and some sick looking kicks. Now he's scary and mobile!
until I create the other animation frames, oh god help me...

Man squishy rex sure has let himself go.....
original design I had for him. He looks more derpy than viscous and scary. I also gave him an angry bloodshot king K.rool eye for some reason lol.

cursed image.

True. Iβve heard that making gfx on ms paint is pretty bad but I use paint.net to make most of my sprites. What kind of software you use?

That dinosaur graphic looks really cool. When will you finish it. I want it. If youβre done can you make a skeleton/dry version too?

Thanks but geez dude it took me hours making one frame of this guy what makes you think I want to make a complete reskin of this guy once Iβm finished? No offense. Iβm not even finished coloring or polishing it either. Perhaps someday but definitely not guaranteed.

I approve of this entirely! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Also fixing some my older stuff to look a little more accurate. The sprite work is more or less done for the searchlight ferry, but at the moment the platforms and searchlight are just static blocks or BGOs. Now that light and darkness effects are possible in SMBX2 I'm sure it could be made functional now.

SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis style grass tiles that'll replace SMB1 overworld tiles!
