[*]38-A episodes. 38-A episodes, or as I like to call them, Buggysodes, need their own subforums. People get confused as whether or not it is compatible for them. Some prefer 2.0, some prefer 38-A. People may test a Buggysode on 2.0 and it crashes. This haopens a lot.
I think they should just have to specify if it is a 1.4 episode or level
I know it may be stupid from my part but I agree with that suggestion, even if they can simply specify if it's for the 2.0/1.4

This is unnecessary and obnoxious.

I would have to agree with this suggestion honestly

Finally another one who agree!
But I doubt that could be possible, I don't know why but I believe it

It is possible, but not completely necessary if there was a rule about it. The problem with doing a subforum is that with pre-existing 1.4 episodes in the forum, it would be hard to weed out the 1.4 episodes from the 1.3/2.0 episodes (especially when it comes to 1.4 episodes which are not specified). If we did put the suggestion into practice then there would probably have to what we did last year and create new forums. It probably would not make sense for the level forums due to the way they are strucured today.

If you can't really take the time to type 1.4.X in your level/episode topic, there is something really off there.

Have a @dead role and channel in the server for the mafia subform. We have catagories now. I can not think of anything else beside Rank toggling.

Oh man, I miss the old level system... I never managed to have a level into "the best"
At the other side you are right! it should be considered, of that way we could easily find what we want depending of version...

I disagree, it should be up to the host's decision to have a dead chat.

It would make it easier regardless so the host can do it if they want, but it does not make excessive DM groups this way.

The problem is that information that may be revealed to the dead players could be communicated to the alive players privately, and I don't see much purpose if the chat was simply used for communication between dead players.

about the "38A subforum" discussion: Having an extra subforum for it would rather cause them to get less attention than the opposite.

I have noticed every 38A episode from my notifications. If it gets its own subforum, anyone not interested in 38A (including myself) won't subscribe to it.

But then that can also be a positive. If you are not interested in something, why would you want to be notified about it. It is possible for one to review a project for 38A even if they don't have because they often rely on judging screenshots than from playing the levels. It is different when a demo releases but you can still ethically review the screens that come out since a demo. When it comes to complete episodes though, you have to play it to judge it properly, and if one does not want to get 38A, then why should they have to be notified about its episodes that they will not be playing if they want to be notified about 1.3/2.0 episodes. A subforum (or a separate forum) for 38A episodes would make sense here, projects, since one will often have to judge by screenshots, then it is possible for one not using 38A to judge the projects. As for levels, since it is 1 thread per user, then onecould have 1.3/2.0 and 38A levels in their thread. I think the main problem though is that it is called 1.4 and 38A. If one only knows 38A as 1.4, then seeing a forum for 38A episodes may make one assume it is a different version and upload 38A episodes to the 1.3/2.0 forum. And if that forum was called 1.4, then some people will find it weird that levels in 1.4 have to be in a different forum but 1.3 and 2.0 (which to them, 1.3 comes before and 2.0 comes after 1.4) are not segratated, if they don't know that 1.4 and 1.3/2.0 are actually completely different games. I would support forcing 38A to stop calling his SMBX 1.4 and change it to something else (and not a number that could cause confusionbetween it and 1.3/2.0) but then what do we do if he refuses? If we banned 1.4 episodes/levels like we had done up to mid 2016, then that would be asking for backlash against the mods from 38A members.

It can also be used to prevent dead players from talking in #mafia.

The SMBX discord is not a server made for mafia. This is enough reason to go against this idea.

Players should be able to pay attention enough such that the host does not need to ping them; dead player's should just follow the rules but also be able to post on other Mafia-related issues such as game concepts (and no we don't need another channel for general Mafia-related discussion); as thehelmetguy1 said it's not really a Discord Mafia server; these roles would be annoying to maintain and utterly pointless, also requiring the host to have special Discord permissions.
Hence why we shouldn't have Mafia-specific roles

I've explained on Discord why we're not doing this; it would require too much maintenance by the hosts and GMs for too little gain in the long run. If SMBX Mafia were primarily Discord-based (which it isn't, the games are mainly played on the forums here), and/or this were a Mafia-based community (which it isn't obviously) we'd probably do this, but as of now it's not worth doing.

I wish FF/R was back so I could make my own forum games.
