sezixor: That level looks great! I'm looking forward to playing it.
Sux: Someone else may be able to explain it better, but it is basically this: Make a SMB2 warp potion to alternate sections that are copies of the regular sections. Give those sections darker backgrounds (or darker tiles if necessary) and increased difficulty. I don't know where the warp potion has been placed, I just put it at the beginning of my levels.

Can we change the name of 12-9 and change it to "Space Speedway"?

It looks great! That part of Maridia is one of my favourite parts in the game. :) Something might have to be done about the darkest color in that tileset. It doesn't seem to fit with the other colors. It's probably because the original tileset kind of faded to black via that particular color and hence it worked that way but here the color should be closer to the other colors in the palette. That should be easy enough to fix.

Is it water based? The sure! It should probably be some sort of ship level. And remember to not stray too much from the style. :)

You can put the entrance in the middle of the level sometimes, but put it preferably at the beginning in most levels.

Could you come up with a name that starts with "Dungeon of"? They should all be named consistently like that.

sorry but the name has a reason to be there.
i'll claim another level later than.
EDIT: i'll take 12-2, and call it Space Speedway, i was gonna make a boss level with one of my overlayered bosses but i guess it'll be a regular level.
EDIT2: wait, i wanna make this an autoscrolling level, but how do i make it with the intro and the shadow realm???

Auto scroll requires the player to start in section 1 and the event to trigger on load. I guess you'll just have to design the dark dimension so it doesn't auto scroll. And the intro sequence can be done by just having it in section 1, (there can't be special music for the intro so it should skip straight to the level music) and having lots of flat land and free space at the beginning of the level so the player has a fair amount of time to learn that the levels scrolls on its own.

This method is a bit more difficult, but if you really wanted to make an auto scroll section then you could put the entire level that has the auto scroll parts on a layer, and make the layer move the opposite direction that you want the player to run. You would need to minimize the level boundary for this as well.
Anyway, I've finished my level! I'd now like to claim 12-1 (The Moon) and 5-7 Dungeon of Strange Happenings

sexinor, I played the level, is very impressive! I like the technique I use in bombs, and I don't see any errors in the level, also great fun and the items were not lacking, but there are some things that might correct, Great job with the level!

You mean in the area with the timer? I guess I see what you mean, but the player can get it once the time resets. The timer is on a generator anyway, meaning that the player won't be trapped if they wait to get it. How about this? I'll place that fire flower before the timer so the players will get it beforehand.

I understand. Instead of adding a sign, I'll place the SMB2 stackable blocks closer to the wall of that area so the player will see them and have a better idea of where they should go after getting the watch.

Well, I started do it some time ago, and ... he has a progressive design, the atmosphere is virtually identical to the Valhalla Land (Shinbson's level in the CC5). I was trying to do this with a really loyal design of the original level
And about the size, is between 5-8 minutes

One concern i have with the shadow levels is that copying sections sometimes results in them being vertically offset by a few pixels. I'm not sure why this happens, but it means if you want to make any big changes to the tileset, it becomes almost impossible.
E: Also, I would like to claim brick hole massacre.

That problom can be solved by making the level boundary of the empty section bigger than the one that will be cloned. Also, welcome to the team.

If I understand properly, if i want to clone something into section 4, I make section 4 big and then clone section 2 into it? Because that's what I'm doing and it's not fixing the problem.
