Sednaiur, I'd suggest to add a link to PGE in the original post, so people that don't know anything about PGE could download it and use it with your pack.

Quick question:
- Why you doesn't like PGE Editor's menus?
- Which menu design you like? (Don't forget, I Always accept any suggestions to improve exist things or fix design convenience issues like this. PGE, unlike SMBX, is actual software and CAN be updated to next version)

If you doesn't like something in the PGE - report me about them, I always accepting any opinions and use them to make editor better.

Well i like SMBX's menus which are divided by games and (Mostly for blocks here) category (grass, desert, etc).
The thing with PGE is, it's divided very wierdly and i don't like it.
Also i can't just push the right button and hold my mouse to keep placing blocks.
it has a 1 block gap and i don't like it. I have more things but this isn't the place for that.

1) Oh, you means the menus of item box (I though you meant menu of editor's GUI):
Did you tried to using of the Tileset item box?
(regular item box is like sandbox with search and category filters)
(Tileset item box is especially ordered by tabs to make more understandable search of items for SMBX users)
Current version of PGE have two types of item boxes:
Image

You just can close regular item box and open tileset item box by "View -> Tileset item box".

Also, you can switch into sub-window mode which will make PGE more like to SMBX ( [Window - > Sub-windows] menuitem)

2) If you will move your mouse too fast, gap between placed blocks will be even in the SMBX. You can use Line or Square to draw bunches of blocks faster and more accurate.

Or... Do you meant this:

If I understood correctly, you should check your image size: if image sizes will not be multiple 32, you will always have this gap when auto-align (snap to grid) is enabled. SMBX is cuts block size to it's predefined, PGE automatically sets size to non-sizable block from image size directly (GFX-size=>block-size), and if your image, for example, 35x32px, target block will have 35x32 size too. BUT, Grid size of THIS block type is default - 32 px, I.e. block will NOT be placed when it colliding with another, just, - nearest block have larger size than grid.
Also, to help with newbies of PGE, I just made THIS menu item:
Spoiler: show
Image
which will automatically hide regular item boxes, show tileset item box and will switch into sub-window mode like in the SMBX:

Hey, is it okay if I use some of the tiles in this pack for a Mari0 tileset?

Mari0 is Super Mario Bros. with portal elements added, with a level editor(why i'd like to use some of these tiles)

This pack is amazing! These expanded GFX look really nice; and give a fresh new look to the classic SMB3 style. Sorry if this has already been asked/said before, but are you going to do a SMW expanded one after this?

Frozen Boo wrote:Ok so i don't like this pack as much as the other ones. Why? Because it forces me to use PGE. I don't like PGE's menus and the way it works. So i prefer just using regular SMBX and that's fine. But if i use this certain tiles have to be used with
PGE and i don't want that. I'd prefer if i didn't have to use PGE. Otherwise great pack.
Thank you for your feedback and critism, so I know what is going on ^^. But now to your problem with this pack:
It dosn't necessarily forces anyone to use PGE, but it gives more options when used with PGE. By this I mean, SMBX has only so much blocks with specific sizes, like only one masked block that is 128x32 (64x16) pixels in size, or only very few blocks with the size of 64x64 that are using a mask. Also in PGE you can just create your own tileset-pallettes, which makes it way more comfortable to use, since in SMBX you need to switch bitween tabs much more often. Many people (especially FanofSMBX) complained about the need of searching tiles in SMBX, since in SMBX they are arranged differently.
So, if you like the GFX in this pack, but don't want to use PGE, then just take the needed GFX and rearrange them back into the SMBX-editor to your liking, since I really don't know how people like to have them arranged in SMBX :-).
Frozen Boo wrote:If the tiles used a couple of other spots. There wouldn't be any need for changing their size.
Graphics shouldn't be annoying to use.
Which is the reason I use PGE for this pack. Please check the layout of this pack, and then tell me how I could improve it, since you seem to have ideas for which GFX should replace which GFX-slots. I could then see what I can do about it.
Frozen Boo wrote:Then i'd rather not use them at all until they're updated to work differently. Or if they aren't, fine i just won't use them. I don't want to be annoyed while trying to make a level.
This is fine for me too, as you seem to not understand, how much work and trouble I had, to make all these GFX, and to make as many tiles, NPCs and BGOs usable at the same time, for you and the others. Also, I cannot do a non PGE-version, because this is way too much work for me. I am sorry for that inconvenience, but I also have very limited time.

I guess you are right about this. Thank you for the suggestion :-).

This sounds very interesting to me. I am fine with it, but please credit me, okay :-).
Have fun with the pack please.

Thank you very much for yor compliment ^^.
About your question: Yes I will do a SMW-pack too, as this is the last one that is missing now. But it will take quite some time, until I can start to work on it, because I really need to get some decent progress for my project first. But my real life also makes it a bit difficult for me too. I really could use a time machine, or something like that xD.

Also a huge "thanks a lot" for featuring this pack too.
I am very grateful for that ^^

Just a few questions?

Do you plan on adding more to the pack, maybe a Volcano tileset or some other new things?

What is the plan for your next pack? Super Mario World? Super Mario Land 1/2?

Yes, I have plans for more tilesets, so do not worry about this :-)
I can see about the volcano-tileset too then ^^.

Also, I plan on doing a SMW-pack next, but no SML or SML2 tileset-pack, because SMB1 isn't too interesting for me to do, and SML2 will have many tilesets in my project, so it will be included in another pack, when my project gets finished someday.

Your screenshot of the SMB3 wood tileset looks broken. You may want to fix that.
This is a really great GFX pack, though. I'm definitely going to use this one for my episode.
