Early access to the server will be available fairly soon. If I don't get enough for early access I'll just open the server anyway.

I haven't touched the server since the last screenshots I posted, so there are some unfinished bits that maybe the players can help with.

I wouldn't mind seeing the "backstage" before it goes "public" to the community

Early Access ended on the 25th, got some help from outside these forums as well, found only a few problems and they were fixed immediately.

Server has a definite release date of December 1st (my birthday), so get ready for that. Sorry that this took a way lot longer than expected, I've just had so much procrastination and I've been busy that I haven't been able to work on this.

This has gone too far. Now we are gonna have Minecraft? I'm imagining right now all the people switching over to that crappy-ass game which gets boring after 1 year anyways and leaving the forums EMPTY, and i'm sure that will happen... No, thanks.

I'm sure I will check this out but expect me being online for only, like, 3 hours everyday because: 1. I don't play Minecraft that much anymore - and - 2. If I do, I know a server which I play most of all, and it takes up most of my Minecraft time. Also is this on 1.8? Bukkit for that version got released recently? Holy crap I feel so old when I think about September "We downgraded to 1.7 because there are no plugins for 1.8 yet"

If you don't like the concept/idea, then don't comment? And if you think it's a crappy-ass game why are you bothering looking at a server for it?

I'm just taking out my anger on a game that became the symbol of hate for me because I decided to dislike it for it's boringness. Also read the "EDIT" part before replying man.

Honestly. Calm down, 8bitmushroom didn't do anything to you. It's not like you have a reason to hate on 8bit. I'm sure he did read the edit, but you still said what you said. I understand you don't like the game, but I think we'd all like to keep this thread peaceful. Some of us support this server.

I like how you hated on 8bit's hard work and then said "don't hate please". I dislike Minecraft pretty much, too, and do you see me hating on his work? No, I even think this server is worth playing in because SMBX, yo. Also, 3 hours a day? I wish I had your amount of free time. I think most users will still primarily focus their time on SMBX.

The aim of this server is to have a place for people to hangout while doing something. It's like IRC only you can actually do stuff while you communicate. If people don't feel like using SMBX, and I'm sure they don't want to use it every single day, then they have the choice of hanging out at the server. There will also be events held on the server from time to time, such as Skyblock games, a Hunger Games-esque game (as streamed by me, Deoxys, DrLuigi, and Vinyl one time), and possibly a couple other things.

The progress on the server halted a while back. It's complete for the most part and the release date is finalized. The only thing that needs finishing is the castle, which can be collaborated on when the server is released, and we're pretty much all good to go. I appreciate your guys' patience with this, it's been a long road and almost half a year since I started this up, but it'll be eventually released in the coming days, hope the work was worth it!

Also, I need a logo for the server, something cross between the SMBX logo and maybe Minecraft? I don't know, it just needs to say "Official SMBX Minecraft Server" or something like that. I'm going to have a new thread for when the server is released that way the discussion there can be of the server and not the W.I.P. things this one has.

I can go on the computer everytime I want. Sometimes it goes over the top and I end up sitting on the computer from 9 AM to 1 AM (on weekends and days free from school obviously)

Good logo nonetheless. I'd like to see that representing the server. Maybe it could be a bit smaller though.

I could probably replace "SMBX with the SMBX logo and "Minecraft" with the Minecraft logo. That's up to Danny as to whether he'd like me to do that, though

That'd probably look a bit better. Also if the text could be a little more centered that'd be good, and sized a bit smaller as well since I'd be putting it as the header of a thread. Thanks for the logo nonetheless!
