My favorite new track is probably Sunshine Airport. It has a really good atmosphere in general and the transitions feel really smooth.

Favorite new track is a tie between Electrodrome and Cloudtop Cruise.
Favorite retro track is Music Park, even though there's barely anything new there, the track is just awesome.

My favorite MK8 new track: Cloudtop Cruise. It reminds me of one of the Super Mario Galaxy music that I liked.
My favorite retro track: Rainbow Road. That colorful track and background got me.

I suppose Shy Guy Falls is my favorite new track, given the setting and music. Although I like many of the tracks, I'm voting this one as my favorite.
As for the Retro courses, Donut Plains 3. Not only is it the single SNES course in the game, I want to race there online at least once.

Cloudtop Cruise, even though I'm not particularly good at it. The best retro track is Grumble Volcano in my opinion. That one is epic.

Yeah Grumble Volcano is probably the best retro in this game, I agree. It really managed to capture the feeling of the original while upping the graphical quality a lot at the same time.
By the way, is anyone else extremely pissed that they removed the Peach's Castle easter egg in N64 Royal Raceway? That was one of the coolest things in Mario Kart 64 in my opinion.

I think it's fine. It's been an amazing easter egg in MK64, but it repeating it in a remake version is quite redundant. That's how I see it.

IDK about the "s"£$%& roster", the game looks perfect but there's one fatal flaw: the battle arenas. Now, why the f£$% did Nintendo eliminate those battle arenas?
Oh well, this is where Mario Kart Wii shines. So:
- Races: MK8
- Battles: MKWii
Conglaturations! You now know the secret of playing darn awesome games! *insert lame pun here*
Also, who voted "Nay" for the poll?

I don't know, but I agree Nintendo should have kept a path to Peach's Castle, even if that means flying over the gate with a Golden Mushroom. The Battle Mode, to me, is lacking as well. I mean, I'm all for driving around Mario Kart tracks for no particular reason and waving at people as they pass by, but we should have the original type of battles where everyone is in a square arena, beating each other up. Lastly, and I may have commented on this before, but there's too many babies and other needless characters replacing old favorites, such as Dry Bones (who's now a stage hazard), Diddy Kong, and Bowser Jr., as well as blocking out "better" new characters.

Frankly, I don't think Dry Bones is ever going to come back as a character, because he has a reason to be a stage obstacle, and also, he's dead.
Diddy Kong, meh. It's Mario Kart, not Diddy Kong Racing. He is unnecessary and redundant because there's already Donkey Kong in the roster.
Bowser Jr. could definitely be in a DLC.

1. Uhm King Boo was a character in mk aswell but there were boo's as obstacles and they are also dead
2. Then why is he in SSBB? and why is he unnecessary we already got a Golden Peach for some reason unlimited amount of babies etc.
3. Before you said on Diddy it's unnecessary and redundant because there is Donkey then why have Bowser Jr when we already have bowser?

I really don't appreciate you trying to outsmart me because I'm not stupid.
King Boo and Boos are two different things. Also, there were no Boos on the track literally trying to kill you. On the contrary, in Ghost Valley 3, there were Boos surrounding you.
This is a Mario game, not a Donkey Kong game, so one Kong character is plenty. Also, SSBB is a game for all types of different characters, so it's understandable why Diddy Kong is in the roster there.
Bowser Jr. is extremely underrated, so I decided not to say anything else about him other than, "He should be in the DLC", because yes, if he was in the official game, he would be redundant. Also, allow me to explain what "redundant" means in Mario Kart, too:
Having two or more characters (THAT AREN'T BROTHERS/SISTERS) the same gender and related in the same roster. I have to say, Baby Rosalina was the most redundant character there was. Pink-Gold Peach and Metal Mario aren't really innovative, but they are not redundant simply because Nintendo wanted to try something new with restyling and resembling characters, and it's not like Metal Mario is related to Mario himself.

That doesn't exactly make sense for me. It's like saying: "We have Mario in the roster. We don't need Baby Mario". Diddy may look similar as DK, but doesn't Bowser Jr. look like his dad? That does make you make your first statement look weird IMHO.

1. what
2. Diddy kong belongs to nintendo so it's their choice what they gonna do. Afterall we had Crazy Kong in Mario Kart Wii aswell.
Metal Mario first appeared back in Melee also.

I wouldn't call him underrated. A lot of people wanted him in SSBB and still wants him in SSB4. He has appeared in a lot of Mario games.

I would have agreed if DKR would have gotten a sequel but it's not gonna happen. We just need more kongs in this. I know it's a Mario game, but Mario and DK used to be one franchise long ago, which is why you frequently relate one to the other.

Dry Bones and King Boo are living. Whether they're considered
living dead seems like the strangest hypothesis as to why they weren't playable.

I'm not sure I wanna know if there's a canonical explanation...
RAINBOW ROAD IS KICKING MY NADS, GUYS.
I'm trying to do the time trial on it. I've almost 3 starred every grand prix, but when I go in with a heavyweight I lose control due to maxing out my top speed. Maybe I should just chill and use a lightweight, I guess.

I think they should just bring DB and KB back because at least sometimes it just doesn't feel like Mario kart without them [Especially KB]
