During your response I have added an alternate suggestion to my previous post, please check it out. After your response I sadly still don't have any reason to believe this change is a good idea.
Please also do not forget that if someone wanted to search for graphics by a certain user, forum search already enables this through the Advanced Search option, and it's much easier than searching for common keywords like "tileset" or "grassland" in post contents.

I'm familiar with this extension and agree it'd help a lot. Your suggestion will definitely be taken into consideration.
Edit:
viewtopic.php?f=99&t=23720 started this thread to get more opinions and make sure things are done right.

Where is the anti-multipost mod working and where does it not? Can you make sure it works where it's supposed to?
(since I saw multiposts in General, where it should usually work)

The merge extension works everywhere but doesn't prevent people from disabling it to be really annoying.

Would it make sense to give the X2 dev team moderation powers in the LunaLua forum?

speaking of the dev team, it should be updated on the forums to include Sanct, Waddle and HenryRichard

wel actually, the situation with me is a bit complicated so I'm gonna have to say that I probably don't count

They've been added, although since Sanct is recognized as a Dev and there's some complications he mentioned; I won't make that their default role but still include them in the group.

Here's a question, when will we get to do a
SMBX community tournament on
Pokémon Sword &
Shield* a few months after the release? Since because we're
currently doing one on Smash Ultimate, I feel like we should add some variety. ^^"
*The actual Gen 8
Pokémon games with
Nintendo Switch Online, not the Pokémon Showdown site.

I'd like to report a bug. I made a thread and ended up being banned for a week with no message as to why. This IS a bug, right?

Ask a staff member if you were really banned for the "differences of 1.4 and 2.0" thread, as this kind of threads was forbidden just right after you made it. (in that case I really couldn't understand how this was deserved, given that there was no propaganda in your post and especially considering "nulla poena sine lege")

Seems like it was a false positive. We've been dealing with spam bots and you seem to have been caught up in the bans. Not a bug, just a mistake made. Apologies about that.

Have you thought of implementing a "Serious Discussion" subforum for "Sandbox" where less casual (still appropriate) stuff could be talked about?

truth is, there's barely any serious discussion happening.

I don't think this is a good idea at all! Way too much political BS will be discussed there and people will get offended by it. It might look like a good idea on paper but once its implemented, it won't last long until someone destroys it.

Very unlikely to happen.

Serious Discussion forums can work, they just need better supervision and a separate set of rules.

People already create topics in the Sandbox forum that cover serious discussion. A separate forum and rule set doesn't seem necessary nor desired.

Besides, you can always go to a place centered around serious discussion of such topics if you want to discuss them. A community centered around Mario doesn't seem to be the best choice in both relevance and interest in seriously discussing them at a constructive level.
