I mainly use 1.4.4, but you know what would be really, really cool but also really unlikely? If 1.4 and 2.0 merged into one project! Still unlikely, though.

Yeah me too. Isn't Wohlstand aiming to made testing with PGE possible in the future?
Well, you can test with PGE engine (or "alpha tester") but it's not part of SMBX so it's not recommended. So a way to test in SMBX without LunaLua would be great I guess (at least for the 1.3 users)
Agreed. Also, does SMBX2 support testing though? Like, in Beta 4 and Beta 3, can you test with the editor?
No, but you have LunaTester to test with SMBX engine (along with Lua) but it doesn't work for my old trash laptop so...... I mainly downgraded because of that.

That would be the GREATEST thing ever!!! But as you said though, very unlikely

Impossible actually.

Beta 4 should be satisfying enough for 1.4 users anyway

I use beta 3 for playing Betterified 2 only
I sometimes play a bit with 38A engine
The rest I do in the Legacy editor

yeah, I usually play 1.4, but use 2.0 for episodes that aren't compatible like Yoshi's Archipelago. Beta 3 is fun, and Beta 4 looks amazing! Can't wait

It would have been satisfying for me if it was possible to move all of my stuff to 2.0 but oh well, i will just finish them in 38A and then move to 2.0... if i am still using smbx by then.

There's no incentive for me to use the 1.3.0.1 anymore, seeing how 2.0 Beta 3 is better in every aspect. And with the upcoming Beta 4, this certainly won't change.

Yeah, makes perfect sense. I don't really understand why people still use 1.3.0.1 either.

Well, there's people that feels more comfortable with it, and even users that can't run SMBX 2.0 properly, like me

There's also some people who are more comfortable with the level editor that 1.3.0.1 has, it's simple and that most of the buttons that will edit the majority of the level are at the bottom, separated by boxes displaying what each one can modify in the level. All the new ones use icons which can confuse new X2 players (i.e. saying "What does this button do?") Some don't even remember the buttons as much because there isn't text displaying what it does (and even when you're lost looking for a certain button when text would make it almost impossible to get lost). While some things like layers and events are at the top, they're easily to remember as they're the complicated things, also, most people will have the layers and events opened up when editing levels. Same goes for the world map except without the layer and event buttons.

Once I get a new PC I hope I can learn basic luna lua coding so I can use stuff like multiple checkpoints and custom sfx/worldmap music, is not like I want to learn too much for now
So if my next PC is good enough to run SMBX2 that's what I'll do, I had to stick to 1.3.0.1 due to my PC being too bad to run SMBX2

Yeah, I guess the legacy editor is more simple. It would be cool if 2.0 came with it's own editor, though.

Usually I use the beta, but sometimes I use 1.3 because the editor is easier for me.

i do and i hate it
it's not preference though i'm being forced to do it by my shitty computer
anyone who knows that 2.0 is a thing has to switch to it for compatability with lunalua, there's technically no reason to keep 1.3 other than.... being 1.3
by the way editor interface is not an issue you'll get used to it eventually
