Vardo isn't quite sure what to say. On the one hand, he is intrigued by the mystery of this town. But on the other hand, he isn't sure if this is really something he is ready for. In comparison to the other former prisoners, he's always seen himself as less experienced.
Their faces seem to have 'adventure' written all over them, whereas all he ever did was run away from home and entertain some people in taverns.
Then again, isn't this kind of adventure precisely what he seeked in the first place, the embodiment of freedom? Hilda does seem to have confidence in him, and he doesn't want to disappoint her.
"I mean, I certainly want to unravel this mystery, but I just want to say that I have minimal experience as an adventurer, so if you feel that I may not be of much help I can understand that."

Khiana shrugged. "Personally, I'm more for going to those mountains beyond the town. According to the bartender, the orcs from earlier may be part of a larger clan that has a base that way. Apparently, they show up around once or twice a month and the town seemingly puts itself together rather quickly. We can stop by the Sage, I guess, but I'm more interested in going towards where the orcs came from,"

With that notion, you all presumably take a long rest in town, regaining all lost HP, all spent spell slots, and anything else you would be able to use again once completing a long rest.
On top of that, you can all level up before setting out, signifying a progress in your skills, and maybe picking up a few lessons from the locals, who have been a little more talkative the longer you stay here.

After everybody gathers their supplies for the upcoming trials, Hilda asks the rest of the group to meet her at the Fleetpoint's northern gate. After making sure everyone's ready, and assuming they all show up, she leads them north, traveling towards the Blood Coast. She also reminds Khiana that she should account for the new skills and strength she's gained after the battle inside the town before they get into any more conflicts, much as the rest of the group has.

The trek along the main road to the Blood Coast doesn't take as long as you may have anticipated, and you arrive there in a little under a full day. As the sun begins to set in the distance, you can see the expansive coastline stretch out for miles. Almost immediately, you can spot a rather worn down wooden shack along a beaten path. The main road travels along the coastline, heading into the nearby forest.

Upon closer inspection of the beach, you can see an area around the shack completely encircled with strange elliptical drawings, akin to crop circles, in the sand. They seem to take on no particular shape you recognize, and many of them intertwine with each other.

Backstory:

She used to go to a university. In her kingdom, she became so well educated that the city saw her as a threat, and were planning to assassinate her, but her uni friends told her. Before she left, she hid in the library and found useful books on thieve's tips. With her newfound knowledge, she learned to become a mercenary thief of sorts, hiding around, away from the government with her best interests in mind. She is excellent at breaking into the best places and taking artifacts and collecting them. She spares lives the best she can.
Other personality traits:
-Takes a lot to gain her trust. She trusts no one. Good luck gaining it
-She's quick to judgement, when it comes to heists or infantry-styled missions, she plans it out.

Physique:

Height: 5'1"
Hair: Black, curly, ends at shoulders
Eyes: Iris color seems to reflect surroundings (Brown, Orangish/Honey, Green, Hazel, Light/Dark Blue, Purple, Gray, Black)
Skin: Tanned. She has a total of three scars, on across her back, left arm, and stab mark on right thigh.
Clothes: Hooded Cape, Face-covering bandana, long pants & worn leather boots. Tank-top kind of thing, gloves that go up to elbows. Everything's in different shades of dark brown save for the belt & gloves, which are black. All clothes are in various tattered states, from not at all to very ruined.

As you do, you can sense the presence of a magic so strong, it emits a burning sensation from within you so great that you collapse to the ground, immediately losing concentration of the spell. Small traces of this magic still linger within you, and you can see the crop circle-like designs in the sand shimmering faintly before dimming out entirely.
