thanks for the feedback, gonna fix the coin and ? issue right away. Still though, the wood does loop correctly however I do understand I should in fact move it to the left one block.

I fixed the most screens and decided not to use the sky one, it was just bad. I fixed all of the errors enjl mentioned and I think it really did help.
Also, should we send the screens to joey aswell.

Here's my SMB1 styled forest entry using Sednaiur's SMB1 expanded forest tileset! I think it turned out pretty well imo!

witchking666: 2nd, 4th, and 5th screenshots could still use more coins for sure.
Snessy the duck: I think the grass fill is a little excessive and needs to be cut down. Some more coins on the left side would do well too

I agree on the grass for snessy's screenshot, but the coin placement isn't lacking in any of the screens you pointed out imo

Thanks for the tips! I'll make a new version asap!
Edit: Done!

I cut down some of the grass, and added some more coins! Tell me what you think!
Edit 2: Fixed the black stripe on top of the image!

I completely disagree. There isn't a good spread in any of them; just a single clump in one place. Because of that, I think it looked better without them. A spread of coins across the screen would look much better

I shifted the screenshot by 480 pixels and lo and behold - the second coin cluster is completely unneccessary and doesn't add anything but noise. The paratroopa adds enough to the bottomless pit to make the area around it feel alive.

Hmm... should I remove the 2nd coin row then? Also, what do you think of my screen in general?

It looks nice overall. I'm for removing the 2nd row of coins but I suggest you wait for a third opinion before changing the screen again.

I'd also recommend removing the left row of the coins, the clash with the treetop is noticeable.
Overall, all of you are doing a really cool job!

Ok, I removed the 2nd row of coins, and I think this will be the final version of the image! Thank you all for your consteructive criticism!

I still think it looked better for sure with those three extra coins

I disagree since this is litteraly
one and a half screen. having like 10 coins in such an area would be overkill in my opinion.

What you have is fine.

Yeah, but there were more people saying it didn't look good than people liking them, so I removed them.

OK, I know this is not SMB3 but is it still acceptable?

I mean, zlaker made two SMW styled screenshots and Joey didn't critisize it. So I guess.

Consider how it looks like when offset by 480 pixels:

The coin pattern isn't a bad idea, but I feel like it would look nicer if it was symmetric to the ground it's hovering over.
Also I think the ceiling could be a tile higher. The narrow passage looks a bit a lot cramped.
