How did I miss this post? That is good for me to know! Tht means I can place 10 times my current star count! As for any one reaching a limit on the world map, you should not reach it unless you share my personality! [I reached the level, tile, and path limit of my episode before I was half done with it!] the larger maps mean you can practically make rpy based Mario games due to the large limit, even if you would normally need 40.000+ tiles, sequels are for that! [I am not doing this since (thanks to castlewars) am going to place 9.999 stars in a 400 level game where every level has 3 or 30 stars in it!] so basically, the limit is high enough to not be effected by anyone! When in get internet, I will upload a world map file to show the limit! [zelda 2 replica were I had to use no tile and syenery, level, and page as actual tile, and I have a screen shot for the level cap!] also, I will stop compareing to my project, I will put that in my signiture when I get internet!

I don't think any episode would have even 1000 stars. Well probably excepting TOB.

ToB Episodes never had that many Stars in Total in the previous Episodes and even the latest... well, only very few Members are hitting the Limit anyway so that won't be a problem... except crash issues on specific PCs of course by having a high amount of objects in a Level/(World Map)...

Isn't that normally with scenery??? Also, if anyone ever made an episode with 1000 stars, it would be super long.

Sorry for the bump, but how many peopel already forgot about my episode which had 1.000 stars but now has 9.999? How does one forget that?

@snifitguy: actualy, havering a lot of 30 star challenge levels also. Can you imagine getting a star for every spell card beaten? [like bossedit8 and myself do] or in bosses of the normal game? There will be an episode with 1.000 stars in the main game and 8.999 more in the post game within three years, I am sure...

21 sections, 21 stars per level. A couple hundred levels with 21 stars each level, you don't need a post game, though it would take a long time just for that to work, seeming as though it would take months just to design it the way you want. I need to save these limits somewhere. If I can remember 400 levels, great. What's the limits with scenery and level entrances? What can and can't be changed? I hear the scenery breaks after a certain number if you replace scenery starting at 30something. What's the limits there?

Scenery after 32 (idk if it includes 32) crash the game if you save a map with them currently being in it, and I don't think it ACTUALLY SAVES. Wohlstand's new editor fixes that, and btw it can save maps that are compatible with SMBX.

Then I won't do 32. What about level entrances? How far can we go with those?

It doesn't include the 32 one.

Limits of scenery (which was already said, read better next time) are 5000, no matter what they are. Level entrances doesn't exist, I think you mean levels, and the limit for these ones are 400.

The redesign of the levels. How far can the redesign go before crashing/not saving?

Go to level editor > view > debugger > Now you can see the limits of everything you can put in a single level.

The limit of size in a level is infinite, by the way.

World editor. Level graphics selection. Like the four different toad houses, ghost house, bowser's castle, ect. Can those graphics be changed on the world map like the scenery and tiles can?

FanofSMBX, you forgot to say that CUSTOM scenes after 32 crash SMBX, but non-custom don't.
And yeah, if you want to use custom scenes after 32 safely, use PGE/Wohlstand's editor.

I know that this doesn't have to do with the Worldmap-Editor, but while I was reverse engineering SMBX I found out that you can't have more than 1000 Animation at the same time.

In other words: If you manage to kill more than 1000 NPCs at the same time SMBX will crash.

21x400=8.400

The main game of my project has 1.000 stars total. The post game has 8.999 more stars! Which is only possible with HUD levels!

Also, I will make a video of killing 1.000+ enemies at one time just to test someone's thoughts!

I just updated the toppost with some new infromation told by other users.
Now this topic will be a bit more accurate.

If you know a worldmap editor-related bug not mentioned in this topic, please let other people know here ^^.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback :-)

Wouldn't it better to transform the whole topic as "Crashes & Limit Information", also providing information of various error messages and their solutions?

I could do that, but this topic then needs to be like "SMBX Worldmap Editor Crashes & Limit Information", as it is only meant to be for the worldmap editor of SMBX. I also need more information about possible solutions (other than using PGE, since that has none of the bugs as problems ^^).

I also can do a thread for all the level-errors, since putting both kind of errors can be confusing for some people, I think.
