Level Contest 9: The Autumn Contest

I have a feeling this will be the CC10 judge lineup:

Quill
(Valtteri)

But you don't really need to be liked by Valtteri to be a judge - it's just a matter of how good your reviews are and if you're fit to review a load of levels for a community contest without any hassles getting in the way.

Chad, Quill, and GluigiX are the only confirmations. Raster, to my knowledge, is still banned.

Why would he want to judge in the first place?

Hmmm. Well I'm reviewing a level sent by some to work on me and Waddle Derp's episode. I guess I could be a judge assuming the Winter contest is during my Christmas break :/

Then why am I never chosen? You just don't see a lot from me because I mainly do project beta and anime reviews, but Valtteri should actually be aware that I am qualified enough for the job (sorry if I sound arrogant or anything). It's been two years since I was a CC judge and I've been trying to get a position again ever since.

How do you become one anyway

I personally pick people who I deem good level designers and capable of the job.

There are two conditions. The first one is you'll need to be a decent reviewer. The second is, you'll have to be liked by Valtteri.

This kind of comments certainly won't make me want to make you a judge more. The reason we were reluctant to make you a judge again was because you caused controversy last time. You have to understand that we want to hire judges who are least likely to give bad reviews, and we typically don't rehire people who didn't do very good. But to be fair, it's been two years and you must have changed a lot, so I'll consider you for the next contest. There's a bunch of people I'm thinking I'll be picking 5 from for the next contest.

The second condition was a joke btw. Your choices aren't bad, but if I'm honest, I'm still not digging the idea of relying on a single person that decides the entire judge lineup. I do trust you, though letting the community decide was a better idea imo.

No, actually. In retrospect, I was a bit too harsh with the scores I gave. But watching everyone rage at that, leaving the community behind mid-contest and getting notified I won against the three levels I gave a full score and considered better than mine, was a lot of fun. Still today just the irony about it puts a smile on my face. However, I still can't decide which of the other three levels I would've placed in first, they're all so epic *-*

Also, that post you're quoting in yours is pure irony for anyone who missed it.
