Regarding that, you're supposed to open up fastFireballsDX.lua itself & add the id of the custom projectile you want within the "fastFireballs.shootingProjectiles" table manually.

It's going pretty good. I'm currently making another patch for World 10 DEMO. I'm just trying to finish that up. I hope you like it when the project is finished.
