A Generic Episode

An SMBX2 Episode which started Development in January of '23, put on hiatus in October of that year, and is being continued now, with a lot of cleaning up to do.


The original episode used A LOT of assets, graphics, and NPCs from several sources, and initial intend was to credit every single source in a readme file. But with most of those sources being lost and not using SMBX for a long time, I lost most of them. So the plan is to make unique graphics, level fixes, and dabbling into custom NPCs. Obviously not all of them can or will be changed, but most will (especially the story...)

Even though I haven't been saying much, work is happening in the background, the episode is being less of a priority due to another, bigger project I'm working on (Untitled Mega Man Game). Updates on the episode are most frequent on the SMBX Episode Discord.



W1, Mushroom Plains: First Castle, Town, and Boss Rush Tower
W2, Snow Plateau*: Second Castle and water areas.
W3, Minus World: Fake Castle* and ???
W4, Lemon Oasis: Elevated desert with stone canyons, Lemon Casino*
W5: Nightshade Woodlands*: Dark forests, Third Castle and Airship
W6: Mountain Greens*: Mountains in the sunrise
W7: ???
W8 ???
And maybe a potential special world.

is it just me, or is that Delightful Adventure world map graphics? I thought you used the Valterri ones, but the forest one gave it off. Did you give credit or permission to Darkonius?
