Pioneer pack is a collection of 50 battle levels ported from old SMBX. I used to spend quality time playing the old battle mode with my friend. These levels are remnants of that era.
The levels were designed around repeatedly throwing objects at your opponent, since we thought it was more enjoyable and action-packed than powerup kiting.
Using the mushroom start option is highly recommended when playing these levels.
