16-Bit Style Sprites

Postby KJPopcorn » Mon Mar 25, 2024 7:08 pm

Hello. Can someone make a 16-Bit version of this image:

and an 2.0 Beta 5 version of the SMB1 player sprites? The Boomerang Bro should be Blue but not Cyan and the Yellow Cheep is the Eep Cheep

Actually, you've already asked this question twice (in "text" form) and I've already given you a few useful resources along the way.
I know SMBx is cool and hype and stuff, but before I registered here on the forum, I tried to learn as much as possible on my very own.
I will help you out with some stuff I do know and learned myself, but this is just too much.
If you want to make something beyond the default assets of SMBX, you have to learn and invest time.

First of all: viewtopic.php?t=4907
Check the content of this package, as it might cover several of your requests.
Secondly: Check this out ...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1014877093
Thirdly:
I can only recommend it to you: Learn to use a graphics program. It's not even absolutely necessary that you can create the Mona Lisa in it (in terms of talent or experience), but you should be able to use it for some simple things.
NPCs:
Fire Bro (SMB1 Style)
Color: Red
Throws fire instead of hammers.
I will use this request to show you how to proceed. If you do NOT find a finished version take NPC-389 (this is the Fire Bro of SMB3).
According to its tooltip (the small textbox which does appear if you hover your mouse over it in the editor) it does throw Enemy Fireballs, which seem to be NPC-390.
The SMB1 Hammer Bro is NPC-29.
You now need to combine these ingredients.
Of course you also need to find the effects version of these enemies in the graphics folder.
In any case, you need to familiarize yourself with the contents of the directories in order to have an idea of what you will find where. Of course, you should not change anything in the original directories: ALWAYS copy them to your level or world directory and change them there.

There are also other sites where you might find good sprites like:
https://mfgg.net/
www.spriters-resource.com
or even https://www.smwcentral.net/
Even if it's just a hobby for all of us, research is part of it.

I don't want to offend you with your plan, but I don't think you know what you would have to do to achieve it. Only the really big players get such huge projects done (no, I'm not one of them, if that's what you're thinking) and they sometimes sit on them for years. That's true dedication.

Look at the graphics folder for examples.
