Oh so you mean that the Mayor requires 15 stars while on Spittle Maze's Entrance it requires 14 to enter. However on the version I played the Spittle Maze's Entrance requires 15 as shown in the video so that's why I had to question of how the progression is gonna be like that.

Considering I beat Risky Boots, Hypno Barron, Ammo Barron, and Squid Barron in that order, I never experienced that issue, but are you two saying that the invisible bridge was required without a Tanooki Suit?

Nope, you actually need Tanooki Suit, but you can get it before beating Spittle Maze dungeon. More to say, you can't get in Spittle Maze without 1 additional star from Mermaid Cliffs level.

So the Stars are backwards? Though I need to say that the requirement for the Time Capsule level is a bit low.

So I'm a bit of a noob here, but if you're going for a metroidvania kind of game play style, maybe use the switch palaces. That way, you can put a block where the powerup is required and put the switches in the dungeons.

Its really good idea, the problem is - all this stuff was done like 3 years ago, and in that time, I didnt have switch palaces. But it can be done now, so with beta 4 release i will try to do something like that. Still, i dont want to use regular smb question blocks in shantae world, all about aestetic. And you can still get all those powerups in scuttle town or in characters levels, so its not a big problem.

I gotcha. Not too sure if there are any alternatives to the blocks for that thing. But wow, this episode is really fun! Its like im playing actual shantae but instead im controlling a red fat plumber.

Have not played yet, but based on the gifs and videos, the graphical quality of this episode seems insanely good. Can't even imagine the time it has taken to create this, considering merely building levels with someone else's graphics takes ages. The use of parallax backgrounds works very well here. Fantastic job.

I completed this episode a few weeks ago. So I had a bunch of thoughts on it, but I'll boil down what I thought into a couple of sentences.
It has the qualities of a full blown SNES game from the 90's. The difficulty was excellent and enjoyable. I'm not great at scoring episodes but I'd give it 8.5/10
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the constant use of bats dictating the pace and sometimes npcs were a bit repeatitive but other than that it could pass for a professional game.
I doubt there will be many qualms with Sequin Land Adventure in the future.
