Will battle mode be added for SMBX2?

One thing I've always wondered about SMBX2 is if there will be a battle mode. There is no folder for battle mode. Will it be added?

Actually, you already can play it, but it is... broken to say the least. You need to manually add the battle map folder and everything in it.
