Also, it would be a disgrace to the original... which had much better level design and did not look bland...

If Chad has not given you permission to mark it as a sequel, then do not do so anyways. You changed the project name, but you still put (SMSE 2) in the title, so therefore you're still marketing it as a sequel and I'm going to have to ask you to remove that part of your project name.

BTW, can you embed those images? (Use imgur or another site where you can access the BBCode) It would be more convenient for us all (because it is annoying having to go back and forth between the links).

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I lost my account "NewSaturn" so I created a new account using almost the same name. My current project, called now "The Second Journey of the Great Star Hunting" instead of "The Legend of the 200 Hidden Stars" (SMSE 2) is not dead at all : despite several periods of several months in which I stopped my project temporarily for personal reasons, I took over a short time ago, the motivation to continue and I still made a lot of progress since the beginning in May 2017. :)

Indeed, I finished completely 6 worlds out of 9 and I'm currently working on world 7, precisely the second level of this world. (I've already finished 7-1 and 7-6) If there are any problems for me to continue until the end, I will probably release my episode at the beginning of Spring 2019. ;)

I'll give you some screenshots of my progress in the next month, when I'll have my next period of holidays. I hope you guys still be patient because I'm sure that my project will be finished shortly, trust me.

Incredible to see this back! Hope you'll make it to the very end.

Anyway, you should change the thread title again and you should also state in the title that it's for 1.4.4, because a small-printed bottom sentence can be easily overlooked.

And how did you lose your original account?

For some reason, my previous password didn't work so I created this account but PixelPest is trying to reactivate my "old" account of 2017, no matter for that.

I already said in my first post of this topic that SMBX 1.4.4 is necessary to play my episode because I used scripts, NPCs added on latest versions of SMBX like 1.4.4 and others functions of this version.

1.4.4 is not a version of SMBX becase it is a different engine, not a different developer. SMBX2 is built on the same engine as 1.3 and below, and so is considered SMBX.
(also going off the logic of if it is not by the same developer, it is not SMBX, you forgot that 1.3.0.1 is not SMBX)

My point was:
38A IS SMBX,because it still works like SMBX 1.3 and below,even though it is a different engine.

Just to conclude this off-topic discussion, I'd say it's no harm if someone calls it a version even when we officially define it otherwise.

The author specified that 1.4.4 is required (still missing the title change tho), so it's been told clearly even to those who are missing the general knowledge of incompability, so that's all that matters.

I'm currently thinking about my project and I don't really know if I could finish it before May 2019 because I'm studying a lot and I'm busy at this moment.
I can only keep up my episode during 4 weeks out of 5 months (January to May) :/
Moreover, I'll try to transfer for the end of February, my project on my study home from where I'm living if I have the time to play'n'build my game and if my portable PC will support all data of custom graphics, levels, musics, ...
I'm sorry if I thought my project will be done this Spring but unfortunately I have too much work left in order to finish and I have a lot of labour where I study. :|
Don't be too worried, though. I'll do my better to release my game as soon as possible and don't forget for the next 4 weeks that I'll try to post some screenshots of my progress ! ;)

At the moment where I'm writing this post, I still have to make 3 levels and the world 7's hub world as well as world 8 and 9 with their hub, so there are 20 levels left before finishing my episode. :D

Note : Some levels, especially from the first world, are likely to be modified when I will finish the whole project because they lack some custom graphics or npcs according to me.

I announce you my episode is going to be released for the next 10 days ! :D

Indeed, I'm going to make the last level (9-9) of my project and then, I will test the game from the beginning and probably add or correct some details.

So be ready for the upcoming and definitive release of the game ! ;)
