There are always going to be idiots doing this sort of stuff. Problem is, a lot of them are somehow gifted with DUMB luck--and never get caught. Thing is...did anyone try to use the Wayback Machine to pull links to the repository BEFORE the vandalism happened? In hopes of somehow reacquiring the lost data...
Or, failing that, use the Mediafire links to rebuild the repository, but that's going to involve contacting EVERY SINGLE USER that has submitted content to this site. Which is tedious, to put it VERY euphemistically.

Welp...it was worth a shot. At least we still have the mediafire links. And can build from them. (and be more vigilant to avoid this situation in the future)
Also...like a previous poster asked, does ANYONE have a backup of the files? This is the sort of thing that should make people realize that having backups is a GOOD thing, rather than a nuisance or hassle.

I do have a backup, but it was from before the first takedown (yes, this mass deletion isn't a first for this pack.) I'll sort it so that stuff is easier to find before uploading it.

Not only bacon means a food but can be used for puns or someone who seems to be badass. Anyways, he meant to say the download link.

"To save one's bacon" means that you got someone (or this site, for example) out of a potentially sticky situation. Please don't ask me to delve into the etymological origins of this rather odd phrase.

So some updates for you all concerning the backup of the back.
First off, it isn't everything in the pack. It's an earlier backup, which means that some stuff has been lost. However, most of it can most likely be recovered.
Second off, and most importantly, my computer broke. Which means I have to send it off to Warranty. While I'm glad my computer is being fixed, I am also concerned that they will clear my hard drive. However, the thing that broke my Computer doesn't relate to the hard drive I don't think, so I'm hoping for the best. In case your wondering, a part in my computer burned up and now it won't turn on. As I stated before, said burnt part was not the hard drive, so everything should be good there.
Finally, when everything goes well, I'm going to start up a new version of this pack on my Onedrive, and will give editing privileges to only certain people so that this doesn't happen again. I'll also probably make a new thread as well.

Cool beans. Anyway, I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen again. It's a royal pain to first off find out it's happened, and secondly, to try to find someone who has a backup, and thirdly, to see if we can track down who vandalized the database (and promptly ban them).

The repository needs to be handled by a couple trusted people in order to not be deleted by trolls. Why is everyone given the privilege to delete files?

Are you still accepting uploads, because I may want to upload GFX sooner or later

I'm pretty sure you can just do so. It explains how to in the OP. Also if you haven't already it'd probably be best to upload your GFX to the forums first so that you can get some feedback in it (if you haven't already) and check in the Community GFX Pack to make sure there's nothing overly similar to what you've done

Until now I haven't seen a difference between this and Squishy Rex's GFX pack... or maybe they are the same?

THEY ARE TOTALLY NOT THE SAME!!! Squishy's pack is GFX that he did. while this pack is what the community did...
