It depends from time to time as I read as much as necessary, which is usually the entire thread if it's new and I post in it for the first time (at least this applies for discussion-based threads).

The way you structured those sentences, you're saying that people would read posts made before the OP instead of the posts in response to it. I recommend rewording them.

Depends really on what I feel is necessary. sometimes I read the whole thread, and there are times where I won't read the OP (especially of it contains a load of waffle).
