SMB1 Arctic Recolors, PGE version ( Updated )

Postby HVMetal » Thu Mar 03, 2016 10:50 am

Hello!
I have decided to upload my new huge recolor.
There are tons of stuff, BGO, NPC, Overworld tileset and something new: Underground tileset.
Here are some screenshots: ( The background in the first screen and the fireplants fireball are not from my tileset, altough I put the fireball inside the NPC folder because I dont want to get in trouble like "The Ice plant shoots fireballs bla bla...")
I've added PGE version, since these GFX are scattered in the normal editor

You may remember this...
Soon I will make a background for the underground section.
So here is it!

And ofc a download link for it: http://www.mediafire.com/download/rqo0q ... ground.zip

Also plants from Valtteri's GFX Pack Version 1.0.1
Sizeable from Sednaiur's SMB1 Expanded GFX Pack
The bridge tile from Bossedit8's "Fury Tanks" level

This gfx pack may be expanded in the future.

The piranha plants are way TOO bright.
Other than looks nice and detailed (I like the color of the cave tiles). Good recolor.

I agree what you said about the brightnes of the plants if you're talking about the second screenshot, I dont find them very bright on the first one so...
Altough thanks, I'm glad you like it :)

The end-of-level-pyramid blocks (idk what they're actually called) are too bright, but other then that it's pretty good!

Also where can I get that background? It's really nice.

The bright blue blocks werent used to be in this icy undergrounds. I wanted to make these blocks for the normal underground... but then I've recolored it.
Btw, its not obligatory to use them if they are out of place, they are probably useful for other things.
I dont find the background but I think its from the SMBX GFX Pack by RedYoshi + supermarioman.

Make those vibrant blocks a greyish color. Either that, or desaturate

I have a tip to you.
Since apparently you really like Recoloring graphics.
I'd suggest you "frozenquills' tileset compiler separator"
It allows you to merge files into one file. (so that you can recolor alot of tiles at once.
