Hey!

I'm a long time (but largely silent) level maker, thinking of coming back to make some levels. I've literally created hundreds of levels over the years, though I have only submitted two (one got 5/10, my first level ever - the other 8-9/10, considered one of the best levels of the year by a few people)

The contest sounds like a good way to re-ignite my passion for making levels. I had a couple of questions as well as a request to be entered. I know the January deadline is really close, but I was interested in entering with a quick level.
- What are the rules on custom graphics? While I have done custom graphics, it's a big time drain so I just want to use other's creations. Can I use the pack supplied by you in another post? Do people get mad if you just use a big custom graphics collection found on the forums?
- Are there any special considerations outside of the theme? My very first entry/level, while decent - got panned by most of the community for mixing different mario game graphics together. It would be a shame to dump hours into a level only to have it rejected because of crossing a community taboo.
- Do levels need a lot of fancy extras and features to have a chance? Can a basic level - if done well - win the contest?

You definitely don't have to answer the questions if you don't want to - but I definitely want to be entered.

I mentioned a judging deadline. February 8th.

3 judges including myself have finished their reviews, so that could be enough.

Due to a family inconvenience, I have to do it Monday! (SMBX video recordings are hard to do with interuptions every 5 seconds.)
