And this was the original art:

So the real question is, how in the world do I make those eyes better? :/

Moving the pupils up a bit?

Overall that is a really nice rendition actually. I wish more of the sprites from the older games resembled their artworks more.

I'm not overly sure, but I could always mess around with it if you'd like. The problem here is that the eyes of the Twomp in the artwork are massive, but that is evened out by the larger spikes around it's outside. The sprite is small and changing the eyes would probably disproportionate the rest of the sprite. If you wanted to make it work well, you may have to alter the full sprite to either fit the eyes nicely or even the proportions of the spikes to match that of the eyes.

That'd make it look like he's looking above him, heh. There's a 2 pixel gap between the horizontal edges of the eyes.

Othanks.

Sure go ahead. Normally you wouldn't really need permission to use my stuff anyway.

Yeah, I know. I tried doing the best I could, but I'm still not convinced I did a good job of it. xD

This is better than the original. The eyes look fine to me, but then again I think a lot of things look fine when they aren't.

You did a really good job at capturing the original artwork in a sprite!

My only issue with it is the issue that I have with the concept art, and that is that he looks constipated, not angry. Maybe making him look a little more pissed off would help?
