Yeah, the server will be still using the whitelist for some, maybe obvious, reasons.

Alright, so here is my current game plan for the revival. The mod team will more or less stay the same, maybe with one change. The map will be entirely rebuilt, and it will be entirely a surprise save for a few features I will list here now.

The spawn area will be a somewhat large hub station area thing. There will be two sections of the starting town, the North side and the South side, there will be roads going straight in both directions with some side streets, and that will be it, the rest is all up to you guys to build. The starting town will expand if there are enough buildings in it.

If you don't want to be limited to the starting town, you can go off and start your own if you wish, or just build a house anywhere you want. There might be a few points of interest around or near the starting town, but nothing like that is planned in the beginning.

The game will be Survival, and unlike the original server, this one will not have starting items for you. I may include a warp to the original world, and the original world will maybe have Creative enabled, but only for that world. One of the earliest events I have planned is the Minecraft Hunger Games, and I might start taking participants.

Can those of us who built our structures fully without creative request to have them moved into the main world?

Can those of us who built our structures fully without creative request to have them moved into the main world?

I don't know if I mentioned this in the pseudo-announcement but because I'm restarting the server I'm going to have to get a lot of your guys' whitelistnamethings again for the whitelist.

By the way, I think it would be nice if you could reset the End maybe once every couple of days. People like me gotta kill that Ender Dragon!

Also, uh... I think if you take a look at the world in the saves folder, you'll see a bunch of .stats files with the player names at the beginning of them. I think. It would be worth a try to look at that if you can't get everyone's names in a timely manner again.

I will definitely attempt to reset The End at least one every two weeks, or however often people manage to kill off the Ender Dragon.

I'll take a look at that, and if I can't really salvage any of, I'll have to ask for the people that want to play on the server's usernames.

I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT.

If any of you who are going to be playing on the server are interested in this, I will be hosting a Hunger Games-style thing alongside Vinyl, Drluigi, and Deoxys. The thing is, I want more people to participate, so if any of you have mics and are willing to participate, let me know and I will add you to the currently-small list of participants. I'll let everyone know a date and time and whatnot, it'll probably be in mid-April or something.

I prefer classic survival over the hunger games thingy, but my computer does have a built in mic, which I imagine would work, not that I'd really want to play hunger games anyway.

I think you might be able to participate. The main reason why I wanted everyone to have mics was so we all had private communication since we might be split up into teams.

Is the hunger games map going to be ridiculously big as when you set up the barriers in the server?

Probably not as big, and I'm not sure if I'll craft it by hand or not yet. What I think I might do is get a world dedicated to just the Hunger Games, make it flat, and just work from there. Then when we play I'll have something pick a random map for us to go to, or something. I'll figure it out.

Nomadic survival, the world border is 150x150 and it moves around the world on its own, and you have to move with it to survive.

Not sure how that would work if you log off and come back a while later though... would you spawn outside of the world border?

I'm pretty sure that would break something. I think at this point I'm only going to have 4 worlds available.

The main world will most probably be the Survival world, though you will spawn in the hub area, which will have portals with access to the other worlds.

The second world will be the Creative world, which will be a flat map, pretty simple.

The third world will probably be the original world, though I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with it yet.

And the fourth world will be the Hunger Games one, which I'll probably only have accessible whenever I decide to hold one of those events.

I'm also looking at maybe creating a resource pack for the server, which will probably just add some background music and maybe a few texture changes (minimal texture changes).
