Remastered Sizables (TO BE REMADE)

Postby silent_ » Sat Mar 08, 2014 6:21 pm

So I was sitting down one day, and thought to myself man, the sizables in SMBX are so bland and dull so I hand-drew each and everyone. I was proud of the result, and hope you guys can find a good use for them!

Give me credit since this was rather time-consuming.

I only like the one on the bottom left
the others look like you used watercolour to draw them tbh
might be a good design choice for, let's say, a level, though
E
there's so much 1x1 0/10

I used oil paint for every sizable, though I'm not sure how visually appealing most will become in a level itself. The folder's perspective of the graphics seem fine, however.
Also, simply point out where you see 1x1 pixels. And bear in mind this is my first graphic so don't expect much of it.

You can remove every 1x1 by creating the graphics in half the size you want them to end up with.
I've downloaded the screen into my paint.net and picked a 2x2 tool and hovered above some of the tilesets. You can simply remove every 1x1 right now by just resizing it by 50% and then 200% (next neighbour mode).

I don't think these look at all appealing, pretty much for the same reasons Emral already listed. The edits you did got rid of most of the texture the sizables have, making them actually look even more simple. Our enchanted SMBX, 1.3.0.1, has the purple SMB3 underwater sizable replaced with a rocky version which one could consider more appealing.

I really don't blame you that these don't look appealing, I'll update them soon. In SMBX itself they have unnecessary black lines, cut-offs, 1x1 pixels, and it literally clashes with Earth.
Before I get any negative feedback saying "omg kep this sux man 0/10" can you just lock this?
