English is not my native language, It's Finnish! But i do have the best grades possible to get in English and i think i'm pretty good at speaking and writing it. Also, my thoughts are usually in English
(Did you know that "juoksentelisinkohan" roughly translates to "I wonder if I should run around aimlessly")

FYI, just because you were born in a country or live in a country that has a given language that is official or de facto doesn't mean that you are a native speaker of that country's language. (Ex: An American born in America may have Spanish be his native language because of the family who raises him to adopt their cultural practices).
I am a native English speaker because I picked up on the language of my family around me, who speak English.
GMarinaX wrote:Well, technically I'm not a native speaker since I'm from Germany, but I'm (hopefully) gonna get my Cambridge Degree on C2 level this year which would qualify me as a native speaker.
Good for you for pursuing an academic degree though you cannot be a native speaker because you did not acquire the language that you are currently studying. You have to acquire it in your early childhood years (aka, your baby years).
