The bots are pre-installed by the phpbb software, they're not really managed by the staff.

Anyways, The uprep/downrep buttons also have numbers (The user numbers) :O I've actually known that for a while though.

50-3=47

50-3 = 47 would only be true if either 50 or 3 wouldn't be a bot. Since both are, though, you have to add 1 to it. If you want to count how many numbers there are between 1 and 3 you don't go 3-1 =2, do you?
