the intent of this thread is to help find and/or document older episodes' soundtracks. such as TGE (1-3), mario classic, ect. you may wonder why older ones specifically. this is due to how earlier on in the community, crediting things wasn't as big a deal or cared for. that lead to quite a spat between SMBX and SMWCentral (as far to my knowledge any how). but let's not get off track here. whether it's a suggestion on where to look or you know it for sure, any help is welcome. if you have any inquires about an older episode's soundtrack, feel free to drop a post. i'll start off with mario classic

EDIT: decided to clean up this a bit. so now this will be an index of sorts to currently on going soundtrack hunting efforts. it'll be formatted like so:

after a pass on the music quality for DAE, i put a list of the tracks in DAE's launcher page. so look forward to that. as such, that means i've sourced most of M&LDA's music, with Darkonious doing the rest.

there's a whole lot of obvious ones given the filenames, but it would feel incomplete without an entire list really. i'm unsure which patch of the episode i have, since it was in one of my older installs, so there might be a few new/removed songs for all i know. the episode can be found here.

since i had this sitting around, figured i'd throw this here too.

managed to find the whole thing, nice! as i understand it, this episode never reached full completion. been playing it a bit and i have to say, the design is a bit boring and rough around the edges, but i'm only in the first world. i believe what's there was made over several years, so i look forward to the later parts for sure. episode can be found here.

the d: I get asked about this one a lot. The source came from one of Bikcmp's tutorial videos in 2010, so likely stock music. I've asked him a few times if he knows the song, but he doesn't. Its origin is a bit of a mystery.

seems like a majority of music here has the track title meta tags edited, so those were near useless for sourcing. a few of tracks use MLP names but i'm not too familar with the fandom or media (i got as far with fan songs as i did thanks to meta tags and windows media player). the episode can be found here.

Uh, hello. I found this thread a long time ago and I thought it would be cool to do this search for LFFTMK. Today I finally finished it (don't ask me why I took so long... I'm very lazy).
I've put all the info I've obtained in this file. Note that it's not 100% complete, there's like 2 songs that I wasn't able to find, plus some remixes for which I can't find the origin of the remix itself.

Gan'vu~o! ! ! is track 28 from here (found with some google sleuthing and meta tag checking)

Pierre is a smw cover of a song from "Pierre Le Chef is... Out to Lunch" by a long gone SMWCentral user nipcen. the only remnant of it i could find was this video. (found with some google sleuthing)

the doc is a little confusing to follow so i couldn't tell what else needed finding, i'll probabaly look into compiling my own later

I have a large monitor so I can see it fine, but yeah I imagine those who have a smaller monitor (edit: wait wtf did i write here...). Maybe I'll try fixing that too later...
The only things remaining are the exact origins of the remix version of like 3 songs, they are all at the top of the file.

all right, went through and did my own sweep of LFFTMK. most of this is from RudeGuy's list because i know nothing about touhou and that's 80% of LFFTMK's soundtrack. this one has a few more tracks not on RudeGuy's list (overworld replacements and an intro level song) so it's worth a look still.

it was the formatting i suppose. like how each thing that wasn't an original song has the original link then the remix/port a line later. i did manage to figure it out though, so no worries.

i actually had an outdated version of LFFTMK too (because i made a separate install of SMBX for it back in the day, i'm nuts), so i'll probably replay through this too. thanks for the reminder of this episode RudeGuy! the episode can be found here.
