Run-time error 52 - bad file name or number

So I'm trying to play SMBX 1.3.0.1 on Win 10 and I get that error. The launcher starts OK, but when I try and click level editor or start game I get this error and the game immediately closes. Any thoughts?

If it literally happens after the launcher like after you press the "Game Start" or "Level Editor" it crashes with this message? Ok, that is really weird. Did you change anything inside the files or renamed it since that's my only guess so far because I never seen something like that happen during the startup in SMBX.

Nope it's a fresh download. I used the .zip download from the main thread... Maybe I should've went for the installer? Also happens on 1.3.

So yes the installer did in fact install it right, guys maybe you should take a closer look into the .zip version? @Joey
Also I got a setup folder in my install with a setup.exe file inside,
Not sure if virus

I just deleted it.

Further investigation by yours truly proves that SMBX will crash with this error if placed in a folder containing cyrillic characters in its name.
