Did I Wanna Be the Guy (that infamous kaizo game) inspire you do make this level?
Visual Appeal
From the starting point, it seems you're in a starting Metroid kind of room that actually looks pretty good, and your character sprite (of Yoshi holding what appears to be a Minecraft styled axe) which also looks decent, is in this Metroid room. Now, first, right off the bat is the pipe that changes colors from SMW yellow pipe in the starting room to the SMB1 green one. It's a nitpick, but it still matters. Now, looking at the 1-1 section in the editor, it looks pretty legit, which is a great thing. The few SMW items, like the koopa and other things (not pointing out the traps

) don't quite fit, but that's not all your fault. Although this may be mostly opinion, I don't think the BGO going over another BGO is a good idea since it can look messy as well as create risk for BGO overlapping, which creates cutoff. The last SMB1 castle room looks pretty good as an SMB1 themed area. In general, it appears to me you didn't use any custom graphics other than for one trap as well as your custom character, so props to that.

Design
I really liked the quite accurate style of the classic 1-1 attempt used for this level. Since it was built around the traps you made in the level, it isn't COMPLETELY accurate, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Now, the traps tend to take away some of the quality designs, and I'll explain in a bit. It's a nice linear and short level, since it's literally 1-1 with cheap traps, but that's also what's wrong with it. I'd say the parts that shined were everywhere besides the main section: The beginning room, the bonus room, and the castle room. The bonus room had an incredibly basic but clever idea to get back out, and the castle was expected to be like a classical SMB1 styled castle.

Gameplay
This is the part where the level really falls apart. You really nailed the traps gimmick to it, but it's not exactly a widespread accepted type of level theme in the community, neither is it original, since you see it in a lot of kaizo 2D platformers you'd see someone like Pewdiepie play. The traps were nonetheless well executed, but (especially the 2nd one) got pretty tiring after a while when I constantly died from the other ones and lost my patience. In general, well executed gimmick, but that's in some ways not a good thing. (I'll still give you points)

Music
I really hate the item room music used in the first and last section; it sounds incredibly ugly. I really would have appreciated it if you used the SMB1 castle theme for the castle section and the SMB3 underground for the Metroid section just because they both sound a LOT better. The SMB1 music goes nicely with the theme, but when the traps start getting into place, it almost sounds unfitting.
3/10
In general, it was more or less a "meh" type of level.
