It's by Joey. I used google to site search it and there was:
The page you all see
A copy of Stardust Field's main page (the links all point to SF.net still)
A directory that has a copy of a Lemmy's Land Forum thread and it's images
A login page that doesn't do anything after you log in

It's the parent site of SMBX.org and Stardust Fields.

Basically my personal site, and the default address of this server. I'll probably figure out a way to make the link to it less...apparent. What do you guys think of the affiliate buttons?

They look a lot better than the blue bar on the bottom. Much more appealing.

Yeah I like those affiliate buttons a lot. As long as they're around, does the blue bar in the bottom right need to be there too?

Yeah, they look cool. I was surprised to see them when I went on. :P

Since I assume this thread is meant to replace the "What would you like to see?" thread, I'll post my suggestion here:

Regarding viewing a user's reputation, separate up-votes from down-votes. Maybe you could still have both comments on the same page, but separated into two columns or something. I request this because, sometimes, it can be difficult to tell whether a user got an up-vote or a down-vote simply by looking at the comment. Plus, it would help to streamline the reputation system a bit more.

I also would like this.

I would be open to that, but it would take a significant amount of template development on my end that I don't have time to do right now. Maybe later!

How about adding an imageset update for the subsilver2 theme? It would be nice IMO, as well as giving a little unique vibe to the more simplistic theme. It wouldn't take too long.

Also, the uprep/downrep images are broken on subsilver2. They have the masked version and the normal version squished together, and it looks ugly.

There's a topic on Knux's that I think you guys should read and maybe reply. It has some regrettable language but some strong points.

I don't mean for this to be advertising; it's just on another forum that's all. Here's my post on the subject, which has some better-laid-out and current things

FoS wrote:Here's my grievances against Joey. They're ANNOYING aren't they Joey?

1. ************* - so let's revive a tradition that only the staff team wants, AND establishes that they just "can" do stuff like this. Not on my buck.
2. Welcome to "the SMBX forums" - come on! Stop trying to EAT UP the SMBX community with your branding, your affiliates and your hack that puts your site in it! (I know 1.3.0.1 contains GFX fixes but this is true!)
3a. Joey the "party pooper" - Joey doesn't allow stupid stuff, even harmless stuff! What's wrong with having a little fun that isn't strictly metered out by the staff?
3b. Locking - boy howdy. Joey can't allow anything to exist he doesn't like can he? I recall the staff discussion thread as a recent incident
4. Slow promised features - medals? Roleplay board? 1.3.0.2?
5. The idea that joey and cronies can dictate a lot of stuff no other forum did - (these are paraphrased forum posts in IRC format to distill them)
<DarkMatt> this contest is official because I'm staff
<DarkMatt/Joey> free warning to disagreeing people on above issue
<Joey> here have a thread lock too while I'm at it

<Joey> no roleplay threads until I say you can!
<Joey> Mario roleplays only guys!

<Joey> no you cannot criticize us FoS
<DarkMatt> how about a kick on top
6. DarkMatt - this mod is way too blunt. Way. Not to mention he used pushy behavior in the contest judge thread, and in general he could use more of a filter.

I mean I guess I can be annoying after a while but you expect me to NOT be mad when my opinions on stuff are unappreciated? Hey isn't VALTTERI the guy who sings about how he can't keep it in?

So long story short:
Joey, this my way or the highway stuff doesn't work when you're also trying to make your forum the only one! Yes you said real life work doesn't give you options, but this isn't a job! I come to post my cool SMBX stuff and to hang out with my friends and you're getting in the way of that a lot! If you want to lead the #1 community you have to be a #1 admin and that doesn't seem to be happening (read above)! I understand you're an admin but somehow you're acting bossier than other admins!
1. You and a small handful of people are the only ones still talking about this. It's been months, and the answer is still no.
2. I don't see you complaining to knux about branding his forum.
3a. Post quality is important to a forum. The IRC is where everyone can have their fun with loose rules.
3b. Locking hasn't been an issue in a long time, and in fact more users request topics to be locked than the staff would normally lock.
4. I'll give you this, but half the staff are inactive and that half happens to be the ones working on medals. In all honesty I kind of want the community to make the medals rather than Kley and Red_Yoshi alone, we could have a contest and everything in the Graphics forum even. Also there's a reason why 1.3.0.2 is taking awhile NO SPOILERS Spoiler: It's gonna be big..
5. It's Joey's forum and he can do what he wants with it. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, being on this forum is a privilege not a right. The fist screen you see every time you register to a phpBB forum like this states "You agree that “SMBX Forums” have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit." which also goes back to your point in 3b.

That thread is just a very awful mess. I'm disgusted.

FanOfSMBX: Although GhostHawk addressed your points pretty much straightforwardly IMO, I think you should really realize that a chunk of the negative sort of responses from Joey and the rest of the staff (i.e. <Joey> no you cannot criticize us FoS) were actually asked for by yourself.

I'll make the argument that being particularly persistent and not negotiable on agreeing to disagree on certain things for example, is annoying and causes individuals to dismiss you and your argument in part or because of, the manner in which you force it at them.

I'm not saying that certain issues (like which you bring up) should not be discussed, but it should not be done with the kind of attitude that you approach it with, in my opinion. And remember that in the end too many people here feel entitled to have their say in how the forums are handled (censoring cheats, level forums .etc) and moderated. Which is neither their problem nor their responsibility.
I request you to not be one of them.

Honestly all i can see there is little kids whining about another Mario Forum. It's pretty funny seeing people being immature and complaining about some mario forum dedicated to some fangame and trash everyone there Staff and Users. I repeat complaining on a mario forum.

Can we consider rebooting Level of the Season from NSMBX?

I'm actually considering taking it up with the Level Judges about that.

@zlakerboy357: If you don't mind I would like to share my input on that matter. LotS, previously known as LotM (Level of the Month) was long ago removed because of both the LJs low activity and the fact that many people were biased when voting for levels. If you were to implement this feature I would like you to to think along the rest of the LJs a better functional system for it to work properly.

Thanks for the info. Me and judges will try to come up with a way that's not biased when it comes to LotM.

Zlaker, I'd like to help set up the new way it would be run if possible so that it will work unlike the ones at NSMBX which died out. PM me later.
