Being annoyed that you always miss the deadline? No problem, here is the submissionless contest by me, ShadowStarX. Here, you're not just not ordered to submit a level, but you're not allowed to do it either.
Rules
Violation of the red rules will result in disqualification, violation of the orange rules will result in disqualification, violation of the green rules will result in disqualification, violation of the blue rules will result in disqualification, violation of the purple rules will result in disqualification, violation of the yellow rules will result in disqualification, violation of the black rules will result in disqualification, violation of the pink rules will result in disqualification, violation of the white rules will result in disqualification, violation of the brown rules will result in, you guessed it, disqualification, violation of the cyan rules will result in HenryRichard.
- Don't submit anything! If you submit a level, you're going to get disqualified
- You cannot use custom gfx! Your level should be completely vanilla, since there would be an unfair advantage for people who know how to use CGFX against people who cannot.
- You cannot use LunaLUA! People with lua knowledge would have an unfair advantage against people who don't know anything about LunaLua.
- You cannot use PGE when designing the level! With PGE editor you can make levels way easier than you can in the legacy editor so it'd be an unfair advantage against people who use the original SMBX editor.
- You cannot use the legacy editor/original SMBX editor when designing the level! SMBX editor is way too hard to use and barely anyone uses it but I'm still banning it from the contest! NOTE: SMBX 1.4.X also counts as legacy editor.
- You cannot use custom nor vanilla music in your level! Using music will result in bias because it makes the levels feel more fun.
- Your level cannot be bigger than 0 Kilobytes of data. Putting actual content in the levels will result in actual gameplay and that's also an unfair advantage.
- You cannot use a dishwasher to place down NPCs in the level! Placing down NPCs with a dishwasher (especially the Swedish ones) is way too quick and it makes the design way too easy and fast.
- You cannot have a starting point! Actually having a starting point in the level will result in playablity, which equals an unfair advantage against levels missing these.
- You can't rename text files into .lvl files. This gives an unfair advantage for people who actually know how to write and a disadvantage the ones who don't even know what's one by one.
- HenryRichard.
