The Thwomp King's Contests: Why the slow judging?

Postby The Thwomp King » Tue Nov 03, 2015 10:41 pm

So I want to address this to all of you who have taken part in my contests. I understand judging has been a slow process for my more recent contests, and I'll take full responsibility for that. I've had a lot of work on my plate since the end of college, so I haven't had enough time for me to put good reviews in.
Luckily, by Thanksgiving time I will be able to wrap up reviews for the Forest and Haunted level contests quickly. It'll usually take a couple hours straight for me to tackle reviews, so I won't have any problems when that time comes. Furthermore, the Visual contest results will probably be out by the end of december, but I should be able to get reviews done for the following two pretty quickly.
I appreciate the patience and the support too because I really enjoy hosting these contests, and I'd like to continue doing so. I hope to eventually see where I can take these in the distant future, and I'd still love to produce an annual episode with each 12 month (1 month per contest) loop of contests filled with levels created by you guys.
Since we don't have a graphic requests forum anymore either, if anyone would be interested in designing a support banner for my monthly contests, PM me and I'd greatly appreciate the help. I wouldn't mind having more people know about these monthly contests.

Anyway, thanks again for the patience and expect results to be at the very latest around Thanksgiving time.

If you knew that you didn't have time to judge the contests, then why did you make a contest in the first place?

Excellent question. I was well aware I wouldn't have as much time for judging, but I expected I wouldn't be as busy as I am now. And it's not like this will be a permanent thing. Once I get a better schedule down, then I'm sure it won't be as much of a problem for me as it is now.

I don't think you shouldnt blame @the thwomp king
Blame me instead.
As you may or may not have noticed, i havent judged any contest after the factory contest.
This is because my computer broke down (dead harddisk + terrible internet) So i needed to fix this.
Luckily it's all (sorta) Allright again. But i still can't judge because the internet is still awful and the computer is still a very laggy during playtesting/episode playing making me still able to playtest stuff And play a episode from time to time but every lagspike is basically fatal Making judging impossible Since for judging you need to be able of spotting every flaw in there aswell as every good point

So i retreated from all of the contests as judge (Which i am really sad about)
Hope you guys aren't mad
