Even if Death By Glamour is an excellent song, it absolutely does not fit in this environment. Especially when the "level", if you can even call it that, doesn't continue after the first factory section. It just kinda becomes "hey listen to that song I downloaded".
Review: Random Factory Level created byBaconPig
{Gameplay: 10Pts | Scenery/Music: 10Pts}
Gameplay: 2 out of 10
The biggest issue of this level is the fact that it is incomplete. How an end goal wasn't included is something I don't know, but what I do know is I didn't really enjoy this level. Yes there weren't cheap deaths, or irritating amounts of enemies, but the level didn't feel special. The main section is short and flat, the second section is only a warp zone, and the third section the 'factory,' I assume is just dodging lava only to land to see nothing more.
I would personally recommend working on making this level longer as I think it was planned to be or do more with what already exists, because the idea of a level in a factory-type setting has been done before. There's a wide array of things that could be done with this concept, but for now it just feels like the potential was not taken to it's fullest.
Scenery/Music: 4 out of 10 {2Pts Scenery | 2Pts Music}
The scenery wasn't but but it could've been better, especially in the second and third sections where there is little to none. The 'factory' area does't feel like a factory. All that's there is the lava you're suppose to dodge. When you have a certain theme you're aiming for this opens up the creative possibilities and none of that was taken advantage of. I'd recommend looking into some custom graphics to add onto your setting and also minimizing the lava or putting it to different use.
Music wasn't terrible, but in the last section especially it really didn't fit.
Conclusion: 6 out of 20Pts { 1.30Pts Overall}
This level needs major work. Considering this isn't even finished it should not have been submitted in the first place. It feels very rushed, which may be true considering the most basic of things missing (End goal.) While I would say the first section is the best of this level that's not really saying much considering it's the only part with real substance. When I think of factory I don't think of falling slowly, avoiding lava walls and landing onto a empty ground and essentially being stuck.
