Mario as always chasing Bowser,
and somehow once following an Bowser escapes in thick fog.
Mario usually chasing him and at the exit of fog sees
that this is no more Mushroom Kingdom is something completely different ...

- One game character is Mario, this episode does not have a cooperative.
- Here you will meet many characters of Shantae Series.
- At your disposal a significant part a locations with original game.
- Three big dungeon with lots of secrets and fighting tower to test your ability!
- Excellent graphics and music, I hope ...
- A lot of fun and murder!

Massive 2020 Update!

- Now on SMBXPal 2.0
- Project is Fully Complete! Need to fix just some Effects sizes ( cuz beta 4, u now ) and find someone to help with english localisation ( currectly its on Russian ).
- Massive graphical rework, nearly every background in game is now parrallaxed, no more smb graphix in Shantae styled levels ( except smb3 waterfall in some levels and yeah - Mario... ), and most important think - cool skull effect on pits!
- Some levels was improved or fully reworked, like Scuttle Town ( In dungeons was added more checkpoints! Thanks beta 4! So no more 10 minutes backtracking after stupid death! Yay! )
- Try to release just after translation, so, stay tuned!

I love the shantae series and looks like that this episode will be pretty good, i wonder how well you'll imitate the metroidvania level design that Shantae has.

Well this is certainly different from the usual Mario themed episodes. I can see you've put a lot of work into making all new graphics for it. I'm not familiar with "Shantae" series at all, but I'll give this a try for sure. Good luck with your project braineat!

How about a Shantae playable? That would probably sum this up really far. Looks really good i like the design of the levels so far.

Sorry, but I have three reasons not to do her playable character:
1. She is important to the plot.
2. Her animation should be wonderful, unfortunately the game can not afford it.
3. Level design is intended only for Mario.

Its possible to have Shantae replace Link and her melee attack is her hair whip. The power-ups could be would change the color of her hair of hairband.

For Example:
Fire Flower= Red
Ice Flower= Light Blue
Tanooki Leaf= Orange
Tanooki Suit= Bronze/Brown
Hammer Suit= Black

I know it, but she's animation must be wonderful, and plot. And level design. Sorry, but I can't make that.

what he means by "wonderful" is the amount of frames shantae has.

and she a has a lot of frames for everything, even the idle animation.

So after I've been interested to the Shantae series and later on also played those games especially Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut on Steam for the most so far, I gotta say, this SMBX Project looks very interesting and for sure I'm looking forward to this Episode once it's completed. So far I've made only one video via your request and I really liked that level. I hope I get to see more of your amazing construction of this SMBX Episode.

Hopefully you'll use music from the Shantae games and such since to be honest, that level's main music in "Squid Braon's Dungeon" was pretty cool but I have no idea as of where it's from (it's a SMW font based music at least but the music itself is not from SMW) but at least when I fought the boss of that level it is from the Shantae games.

This music from first Shantae game on GBC, but in SMW style. In this episode I'm use music from Shantae RR, and the Pirate's Curse games.
