Finally back to reviewing after finally recovering from a bad case of a virus known as school.
Review of Superpowered X by Mivixion:
This was a really well designed Kaizo level that combined very intuitive gameplay with some really tough, well-designed challenges. The first two sections are very good and it took me around a hundred tries to figure out their tricks. The hidden blocks work very well throughout the level and force the player to try to remember so that they don't die again in the same place. What I really liked about this level's challenges is that most of them made the player think and tested their skills and they weren't always intricate timing and precision jumping (although there were a few sequences of that as well). The third and fourth sections were also quite well designed and challenging, and all of the sections presented a lot of variety so the player never gets bored, because there are many different challenges as you progress through the level. One thing I didn't like about the level was the final boss at the end. The checkpoint before it also could've been placed earlier. The bossfight wasn't very tough and wasn't very well designed. It was pretty boring and just used rinkas and rippers to provide repetitive and not very fun gameplay. The graphics in this level, although vanilla throughout, fit fine together and weren't clashy and had no cutoff which was nice to see as some of these tougher levels and very appealing. Music fit fine too. Overall, I really enjoyed the variety of tough and intuitive challenges this level presented but was very disappointed with the bossfight after all I went through.
6.5/10 (Pretty Good)
